Monday update

Well. Long weekend. Lot's happened at the shelter, some wasn't good. It was all worked out eventually but some of it got scary for a bit.

Sunday, called abuser as I felt strongly that I needed to make sure my belongings are still there. She was suprisingly decent. Didn't sound drunk. (Yes, that surprises me) and she said she was just thinking of boxing it up and taking it to the trash. She says she'll let it stay now that she knows I'm still within the area. She thought I'd be "long gone" by now and not coming back for it. I only let her know I'm within the same parish, but nothing about where I am. I'm glad I called. Some of it was irreplacable, including some of the rare photo's of me as a baby.

Called on some apartments. Will call back on one in a bit and hope. Have an appointment on Thursday regarding transitional housing which will allow me a reasonable rate for an apartment, while I continue to look for something or wait for approval from Housing Authority to come through.
